Does Keto in Pearls Work?
For a low-carb diet? Keto in Pearl’s cookbook does work.
We’ll go over why we used the term low-carb rather than Keto (which is a very important distinction) later on. However, it’s safe to say that someone doing Keto can use this cookbook for their meal prep.
In that sense, this cookbook from Keto in Pearls can in fact be used for Keto. However…
How Does Keto in Pearls Work?
For the Keto in Pearls cookbook to work as a keto-guide, you’ll have to be wary of your carb-intake. The book offers macro breakdowns for this purpose.
However, unlike other keto cookbooks — most of which offer an already made-for-you daily meal prep plan — this is just a recipe book. So, you’ll have to make up a meal plan on your own.
Furthermore, the Keto crash course on the book is, in itself, rather basic. The information provided there is something you can easily find through a quick online search. Although, on the bright-side, it does exempt you from having to search for that information yourself — which is the main advantage of cookbooks such as this.
How Much Does Keto in Pearls Cost?
Kindle: $14.99 | Paperback: $15.99 | Spiral-bound: $29.99
Believe it or not, the Keto in Pearls cookbook is actually priced a lot more than your average cookbook. Especially if you want the Kindle version, which costs almost as much as its printed version.
Is Keto in Pearls Worth It?
Considering what we’ve mentioned thus far, the worth of this cookbook is questionable.
True, it’s one of the few keto cookbooks out there that have recipes that use everyday ingredients rather than the expensive specialty ingredients you see in other books. And, unlike wide-scope recipes from books like Simply Keto, these feature instant pot recipes specifically, which is a unique feature that warrants at least some extra interest.
However, if you’re looking for a Keto Cookbook that is 100% keto-friendly, then this might not be the book for you. After all…
In What Way Does Keto in Pearls Not Work?
There are arguments as to whether the Keto in Pearls cookbook is actually a keto cookbook or not. The sample recipes available on Amazon (which is where the book is sold), shows that the recipes are low in carbs. And, it does offer a keto crash course guide.
However, it lacks the usual Keto Meal Prep-Plan, and a couple of the recipes in the book are actually too high-in-carbs for the standard Keto diet (and especially so for those who strictly limit themselves to 20 grams of carbs per day.)
Because of this, some consider the Keto in Pearls cookbook more of a low-carb cookbook, rather than one that was designed to be 100% keto-friendly.
Keto in Pearls Review: The Bottom Line
The Keto in Pearls Cookbook is charming and fun in its own way.
However, if you’re looking for a solidly built Keto experience, it’s not the book that we’d recommend. It has its advantages as a supplementary book, one that you can buy to add to your own recipe repertoire, as it features a lot of easy-to-make meals…However, it won’t really teach you anything new about Keto that you don’t already know.
Keep that in mind when shopping for your next Keto cookbook!
